Owner & Master Stylist

Hillary has been in the hair industry since 2004 and is so thrilled to have opened Birch Salon in 2013. Having attended VCU and graduating with her bachelor’s degree she decided hair was her true calling! She loves all aspects of hair cutting, styling and coloring. Her laid back chair side manner will make anyone feel right at home.

Jen

Master Stylist

Jen has been a licensed hairstylist and American board certified colorist since 2005. Jen is super outgoing and takes the time to really get to know you and your hair. We love her buoyant personality and enthusiasm for her craft! Outside of the salon Jen enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at the beach.

Madeleine

Master Stylist

Madeleine has been in the hair industry since 2012. She is always researching the latest hair trends and loves creating the perfect look to suit your needs. She really enjoys balayage, hair painting and barbering/short tapered haircutting. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her dog and shopping.

Sydney

Senior Stylist

Sydney has been a licensed stylist since 2016. Starting out as an assistant at Birch she was able to learn so much before getting behind the chair in 2019. She has always been passionate about blondes and lived in color. When she isn’t in the salon she loves relaxing with her fiancé and two pups and reading.

Katelyn

Stylist

Katelyn became part of our team after enrolling in cosmetology school in 2019 and has been a licensed stylist since 2021. She enjoys working with all hair types but especially loves working with curly hair and educating clients how to maintain their natural texture. In her free time she loves spending time with her fiancé, two dogs and two cats!

Valentina

Stylist

Valentina began her hair journey at Birch, joining us in 2019 as a salon coordinator. She soon became an apprentice on our team and has been licensed since 2021. She loves all aspects of hair coloring and cutting but especially precision bobs and blonding. Outside of the salon she enjoys DJing, baking and making music!

Delia

Stylist

Delia has been a licensed stylist since 2020. She is so passionate about learning and expanding her craft! She loves doing vivid colors and blonding services. In her free time she enjoys lifting weights at the gym and relaxing with her two cats!

Erin

Stylist

Erin joined our team in 2021 as a salon coordinator excited to gain some experience in the industry! She completed cosmetology school in NYC and became licensed in VA in 2023. She loves doing layered cuts and natural balayage/color. She loves making people feel great about their hair and has such a fun friendly personality!

Kay

Salon Manager

Kay joined our team in 2019 but has been in the customer service industry for almost 10 years. She loves the fun, fast paced energy of the salon industry and making sure our guests have a wonderful experience with us! Outside of the salon Kay loves exploring new places in Richmond with her son and DIYing home renovation projects!

Allie

Assistant Manager

Allie joined our team in 2021 after recently moving back from NYC. She has years of experience in customer service and she loves getting to know all of our guests! We love her outgoing, bubbly personality and her passion for all things hair and products. When she isn’t in the salon she loves spending time with friends and family and traveling!
